Report (in English, .pdf file) dated May 29, 2014 from the U.S. Department of Energy showing that liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is mostly methane and 86 to 105 times a more potent greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, offers no appreciable climate benefit over coal.
